How Can severe Diarrhoea Be Treated?

I have crohns and just got out of hospital. I have watery diarrhea but some stool gets stuck in the bowels. I have a prescription for Senokot-S . I was reading where taken twice daily it would loosen constipation and thicken stools with diarrhea. How is that? I have diarrhea a lot and would love to thicken the stools and also move the old stool stuck in there too.
